FEST Faculty member “Dr. Dur-e-Jabeen” Receives HEC Best University Teacher Award 2016 In Recognition of Her Outstanding Performance

To recognize the efforts and contribution of faculty members, Higher Education Commission (HEC) honors them through Best University Teacher Award (BUTA), each year. This award scheme was launched in 2003. By providing monetary as well as self-esteemed incentives to the teachers, HEC aims to encourage and recognize the contribution of outstanding university teachers. The project focuses on upgradation of quality of research through staff development and provision of better facilities.
For selection of the awardees, HEC asks for three nominations from each university, all nominations are then scrutinized and approved as per HEC criteria by expert committee to decide best faculty members. For the performance of year 2016, total 160 nominations (equal nominations from public and private sector universities) were received to HEC, out of which only 64 faculty members were selected for the award, on the basis of their achievements and contributions.
The award ceremony was held on 21st February 2018 in HEC secretariat Islamabad. Engr.
