Mission Statement of Directorate of Student/External Affairs
The mission of Directorate of Student/External Affairs is to enroll students with diverse backgrounds and abilities to reach their full potential. The Office works in collaboration with faculty and staff to enhance student learning inside and outside the classroom by providing continuously improving, high quality services and developmental opportunities. We aspire to make University Community a more caring by affirming these University values:

GOALS
To recruit and enroll a diverse group of students who benefit from and contribute to the University community.
To build a sense of community under the umbrella of Hamdard University by promoting a common set of University ideals and values.
To promote student involvement in curricular and co-curricular activities that lead to greater civic engagement and responsibility.
To enhance the quality of campus life by assessing student and community needs and providing a broad range of programs and services that meet those needs.
To promote development of a learning environment, in cooperation with faculty and staff, this enhances the education of students inside and outside the classroom.
To educate the campus community about how student attitudes and behaviors are influenced by the campus environment and programs.
To utilize technology to enhance programming, services, and learning within and beyond/student interaction, and broadening our definition of learning through diversity.
To promote sense of community development among students.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The Office of the Student/External Affairs is a key source of information, advice, and support for registered and prospective students. It also takes the lead role in the evaluation of co-curricular programs and services, and in assessing student levels of satisfaction.
The prime objective of this department is to provide facilities and opportunities to students in order to educate them in the broadest sense. It dedicates itself to the interests of students by supporting activities and programs which enable and encourage their participation in various activities.
It provides an active interface between the students and university administration for the dissemination of information about the University’s policies and procedures etc. It also attends enquiries pertaining to such matters. The Office basically serves as a liaison between the needs, interests and concerns of students and those of the administration, thus improve sense of collaborative participation.
Pursuing leadership development is another important objective of the Directorate of Student/External Affairs. To achieve this objective, the programs are devised to develop and promote skills needed by student leaders in order to effectively manage their groups, activities and initiatives and thus play vital role in practical life. Through this program the Directorate of Student/External Affairs promote the mission and the values of the University, including inclusiveness and community services.
