Hamdard Institute of Information Technology (HIIT) is offering programs in Computer Science, Information Technology and Computer System Engineering for the last 8-years and our graduates have earned a high ranking when competing for jobs in public and private sector organizations. The institute has also started BE program in Electronics and Telecommunication and students intake is rising.Efforts are being made to provide enhanced lab facilities and new faculty members are being recruited for engineering programs. The institute is equipped with modern tools for imparting quality education through a dedicated team of faculty members.
Laboratory Facilities
The Electronics Lab is equipped with a range of necessary equipment like Oscilloscopes, Function Generators,Frequency Counters, assortment of tools, accessories and a variety of Digital/Analogue components, workbenches,engineering software, technical books and manuals.Assistance is provided by a team of qualified lab
demonstrators and faculty members.These facilities are used for practical work for subjects like Electric & Electronic Circuits, Digital Logic, Computer Organization, Operational Amplifier etc. Students also undertake projects and are encouraged to participate in Electronic/Science Exhibitions.The Communication Laboratory has trainers for base band communication, analog modulation, digital modulation and fiber optic communication. The experiments are supported by high frequency signal generators and digital storage oscilloscopes to perform time-domain and frequency - domain analysis .
Digital Systems Laboratory provides experimental facilities to study micro controller and micro processor systems.Micro processor Training System is a modularized approach to micro processor concepts and applications.
In addition to these training aids, this laboratory is equipped with a universal programmer used to programme micro controllers of different types as well as EPROMs’ trainers and digital oscilloscopes so that students are able to perform laboratory projects and get hands-on training employing latest technology.
A number of microcomputer laboratories are available to support class room teaching, using necessary software tools.Server Room: The main facility that controls operations and working of the Local Area Network is the server room. It comprises of the main servers that include a web server, mail server and back up servers. Also a number of switches and hubs are installed for the LAN. The servers at the university are top of the line including Compaq Proliant ML-370. Other networking devices are from standard vendors like 3Com,Lucentand Info Smart etc.
