Examination Policy

Faculty of Law having examination Policy in force since Spring-2016 however same is re-defined with some modification as under:
i) Students who failed or absent themselves in (01) or (02) subjects are allow to re-sit/re- examination on payment of Examination fee. Incase if student again failed in a re-sit/re- examination then he has to repeat whole semester on payment of full semester fee.

ii) Students who failed or absent themselves in more than two (02) papers will not be promoted to next semester nor will be allowed to have any re-sit/re-examination. They will be required to repeat the whole semester and take regular classes with the junior batch on payment of full Semester fee.

iii) All the students are required to meet minimum CGPA 2.00 per semester and incase the required CGPA not achieve then he/she can repeat the subject having less marks only once with re-sit fee.

iv) Students will be given only one chance to repeat once only the whole semester with his junior batch and incase if again fail in any of the subject will be not allowed to carry on his studies and has to leave Faculty of Law.
v) All failed students can appear in the re-sit/re-examination twice per year. If student fails more than two re-sit/re-examination per year, they have to leave the Faculty of Law.

vi) Re-sit/Re-examination will be offered only to the student who either failed in the final examination or obtain prior permission from the Dean or Director of Faulty of Law before the date of 1st Examination in a semester. Permission may be granted only on two grounds; death of immediate family member or hospitalization of student/Accident, which will be verified immediately via medical record.

vii) Student whose attendance is short i.e. less than 75% in one or more subjects(s) are not to be allowed to sit in examinations of any of the subjects, even in those subject(s) in which their attendance is satisfactory.

viii) Examination Scheduling and conduct
a. All examinations will be held as per ‘Academic Calendar’ of the Faculty. The Academic Calendar is announced before the start of every Academic Year wherein examination schedule is provided.

b. In each semester one midterm and one final examination will be held. The date-sheet of Mid-Term and Final Exam will be notified two weeks before the commencement of examinations.

c. The Faculty of Law, under intimation to the office of Controller Examination, who will be responsible to conduct both midterm and final examinations.

ix) Rechecking of Results
a. Application by a candidate for an inquiry into the correctness of their result is to be submitted to the Controller of Examination. For this purpose a fee for each subject is to be paid.

b. The inquiry will deal only with the correctness of the results and will not include re- examination/ re-evaluation of the candidate’s answer-book.

c. Applications for re-checking of results are not acceptable after 30 days from the date of notification of results.

x) Disposals of Answer Books
All answers books of candidate will be destroyed after 120 days of result of last semester.
