HIMS SEMINAR LIBRARIES

A modern library means a well-organized collection of books, periodicals, computer software, films, videotapes and other informational tools. They are the most essential sources of acquiring knowledge and reference information. The library plays a pivotal role in every school, college, university and other institutions involved in study, research and development.

HIMS Seminar Libraries (Main and City Campus) contain over 10,000 books and 21 regular journals in various areas of management sciences, such as business, finance, banking, accounting, communication, mathematics, statistics, marketing, advertising, information technology, sociology, economics, behavioral sciences etc., as well as 500 company reports and resource collection that comprises language cassettes, tapes, CDs and useful educational audios and videos in various areas of management sciences.

HIMS Seminar Libraries continuously add new books and journals to update users’ knowledge covering current developments. The Libraries receive publications from various national and international educational and research institutions. The Libraries provide pleasant air-conditioned atmosphere for study with well-organized stock of books. Adequate library materials are available for students and faculty use in the library, as well as on loan.

Information retrieval is carried out through the Internet. Up-to-date databases are provided by commercial intelligence agencies. Bait al Hikmah, the main library, contains more than half a million books, periodicals, journals and manuscripts. It provides further opportunities for those who wish to study and expand their horizons of knowledge.

COMPUTER LABORATORIES

HIMS provides state-of the-art laboratories comprising most modern computers for the students to complete their hands-on training and increase their interaction with the latest technologies.

 
PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES / INTERNSHIPS

HIMS helps the students and graduates alike in their endeavor to secure professional internships and employment. In addition to their professionalism and leadership, the social initiative and grooming inspired within Hamdard’s halls of learning is an attribute of distinction for our graduates. Internships are arranged at leading organizations, socializing our students with the business environment in corporate culture thereby facilitating their transition from academic to corporate world. HIMS graduates are nurtured by the strong institutional vision of “Pursuit of Excellence”, imbibing them with the Hamdard’s value system of honesty, loyalty and perseverance. They have attained a professional caliber and leadership roles and have proved their competence in diverse business environments like those of the Middle East, Europe and North America.
 
The institute emphasizes the training of students with hand-on experience in leading multinational and national enterprises. Students going through internships are carefully monitored by the faculty. Experiences gained by the students from their work in enterprises are discussed in the classroom. In addition, an effective job-oriented placement service is available for graduates of the Institute

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Financial assistance is available in the first semester tuition fee to students securing:

• 'A' Grade and Above in pre-requisite examination - 50% concession in tuition fee in first semester.
• 3.5 CGPA - 50% concession in tuition fee in next semester.
• Student Loan Scheme is available for needy students.
• Real brother / sister in any faculty - 50% concession in tuition fee.
• 50% concession in tuition fee in First Semester to students obtaining 65% marks or above in HIMS Aptitude Test. 

Facility of fee payment in two equal installments is available to needy students.
