Every campus has learning resources and facilities like libraries, computers with networking facilities, photocopying and audio-visual equipment. They provide all the material which can be used to enhance students’ learning capacity and improve knowledge.
HOSTELS

Hostels facilities are available at the Main Campus to accommodate out of the city male & female students. Due to the limited capacity of these hostels, the facility is provided on the first-come-first served basis. Arrangements are made in another City Hostel to accommodate the students who do not find seats in the Main Campus Hostel on temporary basis. All the hostels are well equipped and comfortable for boarding and lodging.
AUDITORIUMS
At the Main Campus of the University, the reare three auditoriums housed respectively in the buildings of Bait al-Hikmah Library, Hamda rd Institute of Management Sciences (HIMS) and Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology (FEST) having a total capacity of more than 700 seats. Another auditorium with a seating capacity for more than 200 people is planned in the second phase construction of the new academic block, being constructed for the faculties of Eastern Medicine and Pharm a c y. The Master Plan of Madinat al-Hikmah also includes the grand project of the Sabah Conference Centre which will comprise meeting rooms and halls of varying sizes, including a 1000 seats’ capacity auditorium.
CAFETERIA

A busy social life is a hallmark of all the campuses of Hamdard University. Cafeteria and tea shops at various campuses not only provide quality food but also the rendezvous for informal tete-a-tete and gatherings. The Students Teachers Centre (STC) is the Central Cafeteria of the Main Campus which due to its spacious hall, innovative décor, and cozy environment, offers an ideal place for interaction among students and teachers. The STC in the second phase of its construction will include the facility for indoor games in addition to offices for d i ff e rent students’ clubs and societies.
COMPUTER FACILITIES

The elaborate computer facilities at the main and other campuses of the University offer extensive usage hours and state-of-the-art hardware and variety of softwares to make computing real learning experience. The facilities comprise networked PCs •(Pentium IV) linked to a wide range of software, communication and print services. The open access policy to the Internet at every campus is a part of an extensive, “Broadband” information network connecting faculties and campuses. All campuses have their own server rooms with intranet and Internet facilities.
LIBRARIES

At Hamdard University the systems applied in the organization of libraries make access to information quick and simple. Supplied with the latest books, periodicals, magazines and journals, the departmental/seminar libraries at different institutes and colleges provide the students with a comprehensive collection of books in the particular areas of studies. The Bait al-Hikmah library is a grand collection of 0.5 million books, including valuable manuscripts, collected by the founder from all over the world. The library, housed in an imposing edifice at the main campus, extends over an area of 2000 sq. yards. and is amongst the biggest libraries of Pakistan, provided with a scholar’s house for the residence of research scholars.
TRANSPORT

The University has a large fleet of all kinds of vehicles to facilitate the daily travel of staff between the Karachi city and the Main Campus. Contract vehicles also ply for students’ transportation from fixed points in the city to the Main and City Campuses. For industrial and instructional visits, the University provides transport free of cost. A regular Shuttle Service plying between Nagan Chowrangi and Hamdard University started regular operation an year before.
MEDICAL SERVICES

O.P.D., ambulance and security services remain alert to deal with and avoid possible emergencies. A hygienic environment is on the other hand, maintained through an effective system, which, as a part of its functions, monitors the general condition of cleanliness and standard of the food supplied at diff e rent cafeterias. At the main campus, free of charge medical services are available to the students, the staff and faculty members. Hamdard College of Medicine and Dentistry (HCM&D) provides these facilities during the University hours at its main building. Shifa-ul-Mulk Memorial Hospital of the Faculty of Eastern Medicine is a full fledged teaching hospital of Unani medicine, renders services round the clock.
HAMDARD EDUCATION NET

Hamdard Education Net (HEN) is a major step by Hamdard University in bringing to the fore f ront the idea of imparting education through the existing means of Information Technology. Hamdard Education Net is a vision to implement the digital concept of open E-learn i n g for the dissemination of education throughout the length and breadth of Pakistan by providing value-added services to educational institutions including the schools and colleges in remote areas. The HEN is determined to develop the concept of an Education Service Provider (ESP) and a Digital University and strictly follows the slogan “Education at your Desktop”. The Cisco Networking Academy Program (CNAP) at Hamdard University is a comprehensive e-learning program, which provides students with the Internet technology skills essential in a global economy.
